Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC in Wuerzburg

The Fraunhofer ISC develops material solutions for a wide variety of applications based on a unique combination of material, processing, application and analytical know-how. With a view to the efficient use of resources and energy, the institute focuses on the use of renewable and environmentally friendly raw materials, the avoidance of critical materials and intelligent and sustainable processes.

Thus, the ISC is working on solutions to the world's major challenges: climate change, pollution, increasing energy and resource requirements as well as affordable medical care.
