Professional competence in micro- and nanoparticles
for research and industry

© Fraunhofer ISC

Today, small or very small particles are an indispensable component of many modern materials in almost all areas of technology. Particles can have a very complex structure and thus combine several functions. As additives, particles thus not only improve material properties, they also open up completely new functionalities and applications. Particle systems with interactive functionality are used, for example, in diagnostics and therapy, in sensor technology in smart coatings or composites.
The two divisions Particle Technology and Theranostics of the Fraunhofer ISC offer customer-specific development and production of micro- and nanoparticles.

Further information on the subject of particles

You can find out more about particle systems and developments on the Particle Technology website and for medical and biological questions on the Theranostics website.
