The Fraunhofer ISC parent institute is located in Würzburg. Connected entities are the Bronnbach Branch Office, the Fraunhofer Project Group for Materials Recycling and Resource Strategies IWKS based in Alzenau and Hanau and including the attached Application Center for Resource Efficiency, the Fraunhofer Center for High Temperature Materials and Design HTL with the attached Fraunhofer Application Center for Textile Fiber Ceramics TFK, the Center Smart Materials and Adaptive Systems CeSMA, and the Fraunhofer R&D Center Electromobility Bavaria FZEB. On 1 August 2017, the Fraunhofer Translational Center Regenerative Therapies TLC-RT became part of Fraunhofer ISC.
