At this year's Techtextil, the world's leading trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting textile-integrated elastic sensors at the joint booth of the Fraunhofer Textile Division in Hall 12.0, Booth C45.
The team from the Center Smart Materials and Adaptive Systems CeSMA will be presenting, among other things, electrodes made of skin-compatible silicone in bandages that can be used for ECG and EMG measurement. In addition to strain sensors for measuring respiration and movement in textiles such as shirts, a glove with built-in pressure and posture sensors on the fingers was also presented. The recorded data can be used for VR/AR applications such as remote machine control or also for quality assurance in manual assembly processes.
