From October 20-22, 2026, Fraunhofer ISC will be represented at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo in Hamburg with HySecunda, a project funded by the BMFTR.

Under the guiding theme "Green Hydrogen Partnerships between Europe and Africa", HySecunda presents innovative approaches and technologies for a sustainable, safe, efficient and future-proof hydrogen economy.

Three core areas of the HySecunda project:

  • Capacity Building: Developing skills and expertise as well as sustainable education, research and innovation partnerships for the hydrogen economy between Europe and Africa.
  • Certification & Market: Establishing the foundations for certification, standards and market transparency, and safeguarding green hydrogen imports.
  • Technology: Innovative technologies for a sustainable hydrogen economy – from advanced coatings and smart sensors to reliable infrastructure and new materials.

At our booth, you will gain insights into the technological solutions developed within the HySecunda project:

  • Advanced Coatings: Advanced coatings for greater efficiency and a longer service life of hydrogen-relevant components.
