Fairs and Events 2017

Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting on the German Pavilion at Photonics West in San Francisco from 31 January to 2 February 2017. We will be presenting optical layers for light management for example in displays, scattering layers for LED and OLEDs as well as diffractive optical elements (DOE) for imaging technology. We are looking forward to meeting you on our booth 4629-24 in the North Hall of Moscone Center.

As part of the German Pavilion Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting at nano tech in Tokyo from 15 to 17 February, 2017. Among other things, functional coatings for solid and flexible substrates, hybrid materials for microelectronics, functionalized nanoparticles and their nanoanalytics as well as specific printing technologies (R2R, TPA) will be presented. We are looking forward to meeting you on our booth 5R-18.

The Subject Division Applied Inorganic Chemistry of ProcessNet (an initiative of DECHEMA), cordially invites you to the 26th ATC in February 23-24, 2017. This year’s conference focuses on the topics Materials for fuel-cell technology, Heterogeneous catalysts free of precious metals, Modern methods in chemical analysis and Glass as innovative material for high-tech applications.

The 13th Battery Experts Forum, organized by the Batteryuniversity, will take place in the Stadthalle Aschaffenburg from 14 to 16 March 2017. Leading international experts, developers and researchers talk about the latest developments in the topics of battery and charging technology.

Experts from industry, universities and research institutes will give a lecture on the topics of surface engineering for praxis within the "Thementage Grenz und Oberflächentechnik" from 14 to 16 March. The lecture program will be supported by Dr. Sabine Amberg-Schwab of the Fraunhofer ISC, who will present »Intelligent Packaging: Sustainable Surface Finishing for Paper, Plastics and Textiles« on March 15 at 11:20 am.

22.3.2017 Fraunhofer ISC will be exibiting at the accompanying exhibition as part of the OptecNet anniversary on 22-23 March, 2017 in Mainz (Kurfürstliches Schloss).

The topic plastic packaging and problems with it is omnipresent. In the conference organized by the SKZ, this tension field of plastic packaging will be on agenda from 4 to 5 April at the Festung Marienberg in Würzburg. On Tuesday, April 4, Dr. Sabine Amberg-Schwab will present the topic "Hybrid Functional Layers for Biodegradable Food Packaging", to present the new biologically degradable material class of bioORMOCER®.

Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting from 4 to 5 April, 2017 at the European Seminar on Precision Optics Manufacturing (Technologie Campus Teisnach). Dr. Martin Kilo, Fraunhofer ISC, will give a lecture on "Chemical analysis of the surface of optical glass"

From April 4 to 6, 2017, Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting at European Coatings Show in Nuremberg. There we will present our portfolio from particle and additive development to upscaling and layer analysis. We also show biodegradable coatings for food packaging, an environmentally-friendly galvanizing process for plastics, and anti-stick coatings that prevent dust from sticking.

The Fraunhofer Nanotechnology Alliance is organizing the 2nd Joint Symposium on Nanotechnology together with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment BfR at the Hannover Medical School in Hannover (Germany). The integration of nanomaterials along the entire value chain creates new challenges and requires innovative approaches in terms of design, testability, reliability, and safety. Within the scope of this two-day event, the status quo of nanomaterials in research, application, and regulation will be presented.
